Happy New Year!

Posted by: Kelly Gabrione | January 9, 2012 | No Comment |

This is the time of year when many of us take time to make a list of goals we would like to accomplish this year.  One of my goals is to spread the word about hosting an au pair and how 2012 could be the year you try something new.

Before taking on the role of local childcare coordinator almost five years ago I didn’t have much knowledge about the au pair program.  Here are a few things I learned:

FLEXIBLE: Your au pair provides 45 hours of childcare a week - on a schedule you decide. Learn more

AFFORDABLE:  You pay just $350/week for 45 hours of coverage (per family not per child). That comes down to just $7.80/ hour! Cost comparison

QUALITY:  There are many factors to consider in choosing a childcare provider.  I take pride in working for an agency that has been a leader in its field for the past 20 years. Why choose us?

Is this the year you try something new?  I’d love to help you answer any questions you may have or let you know of any current discounts.  Send me an email: Kelly.Gabrione@LCC.Culturalcare.com to discuss more. Happy New Year!

Holiday Party - Minute to Win it Games

Posted by: Kelly Gabrione | December 12, 2011 | No Comment |

The annual December au pair holiday party was a big success.  Everyone brought a tasty dish to share and a gift to exchange. Au Pairs from Arlington Heights, Palatine, Mount Prospect and Prospect Heights were all in attendance.  The best part of the night was seeing everyone participate in the Minute to Win It games. The games included: shaking the most ornaments out of a tissue box tied around your waist without using your hands,  blowing a Christmas card across a table to land perfectly balanced on the edge of the table, and throwing the most marshmallows through a wreath.   Each team had exactly one minute to complete the task.  Our winners took home great prizes. Happy holidays everyone!

Our next meeting will be on Sunday, January 22nd. Bowling at 3PM. The location will be announced soon.

Check out photos from our party.

December Holiday Party!

Posted by: Kelly Gabrione | November 20, 2011 | No Comment |

We had a great time at our private au pair Zumba class at the River Trails park district last week. It was great having time to work off all the calories before we enjoy celebrating Thanksgiving later this week with everyone’s host family.

Now it’s time to get ready for our annual Christmas party at my house. This will be another combined event to socialize with the Palatine and Des Plaines group.  Here are the details:

Date: Friday, December 9th (Note the new date!)

Time: 7-9PM

Where: Kelly’s house (I’ll forward my address to you)

Bring: A snack to share (appetizer or dessert) and a wrapped $10 gift to exchange (ideas are a gift card to starbucks, Target or somewhere, candy, gloves, scarf,  anything you may like). We play a fun game to exchange them and also will have other games to play. Get ready for a fun night!
